God’s Work Our Hands is celebrating 10 years! Service activities offer an opportunity for us to explore one of our most basic convictions as Lutherans: that all of life in Jesus Christ – every act of service, in every daily calling, in every corner of life – flows freely from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace.

We’re excited about the many opportunities for our God’s Work Our Hands weekend this year. There are opportunities for all ages beginning Thursday, Sept. 7 and then Saturday, Sept. 9, and Sunday, Sept. 10. This year, we also have opportunities to bring in donations during the month of August. Check out the opportunities below and click the link to sign up.

This organization collects new and gently used shoes to distribute to those in need locally and internationally.  We will be collecting shoes at the church throughout August and taking a group to work at the center on Thursday, September 7.

This unique training helps challenge stereotypes about poverty and ultimately gives you a better understanding of the poverty mindset. The class will take place at the church. Best for junior high age and up.

Congregation members are invited to put together care packages to be delivered to seniors in the area. During the month of August, pick up a bag with the shopping list in the atrium, put your name on the sheet, and bring the items back anytime before September 10.https://shepherdscenterofhamiltoncounty.org/
