REFLECT Site Design
Christ the Savior Lutheran Church owns over 30 acres at 10500 126th Street in Fishers. The congregation desires to develop a small memorial garden and columbarium on about ¼ acre of the property near the community garden and labyrinth on the southeast side of the property. A columbarium is a structure designed as a resting place for cremains – the ashes that remain after one is cremated.
Our columbarium will have sealed niches that serve as the resting place for cremains only. As you will see in the renderings, the columbarium simply looks like a lovely garden wall, with small plaques designating the remembrance of those who are placed at rest inside. The columbarium and scattering garden will be a ministry that offers a peaceful place of remembrance as an integrated part of a larger area of reflection with beautiful landscaping and hardscape that includes benches, walls, and pathways.
