Faith in action. Service with purpose. Community that changes lives.

Each summer, students at Christ the Savior have the opportunity to put their faith into action through immersive
service learning experiences. Mission trips are more than just travel; they’re a chance to serve, learn, and grow in faith alongside friends, leaders, and new communities.

We believe God calls each of us to love our neighbor, to show compassion in the face of need, and to be part of the ongoing work of healing and hope in the world. Through service learning, students connect what they believe with how they live, reflecting on how acts of service shape their understanding of God, themselves, and others.

These trips combine hands-on service with worship, reflection, and community-building, helping students see the world, and their faith, through new eyes.

Students will serve in 2 age groups: Junior High (Completed 5th through 7th Graders) and High School (Completed 8th through 12th Graders).

Registration opens in January 2026 for both trips.

2026 Junior High Mission Trip
Detroit, Michigan | June 7-10, 2026

2026 High School Mission Trip
Asheville, North Carolina | July 5–11, 2026

Our Junior High Mission Trip invites middle school students to grow in faith through service, community, and learning. We’ll travel to Detroit, MI, where we’ll partner with local ministries and organizations to serve our neighbors and explore what it means to love like Jesus in an urban setting close to home.

Serving in the Detroit area allows groups to connect with the city’s unique culture and history, while addressing real needs across the tri-county area. Partner organizations will help students learn about the history of segregation and racism that has perpetuated inequality and poverty and the hope-filled work still being done today to bring renewal and justice. Students will spend the week serving, reflecting, and exploring the ways God is already at work in and through Detroit’s vibrant communities.

Who: Students who have completed 5th–7th grade
When: June 7 - 10, 2026

Join us for an immersive service learning experience in Asheville, NC, as we partner with local organizations to serve those affected by Hurricane Helene which hit North Carolina and Tennessee in September of 2023. Together, we’ll engage in meaningful work focused on disaster relief, environmental advocacy, and unhoused ministries throughout the Appalachian region.

Serving in the mountains offers students the chance to witness both the beauty and the brokenness of creation… caring for people and the environment in deeply interconnected ways. Each day will include hands-on projects, group reflection, and opportunities to learn how faith calls us to care for God’s world and one another.

WHY WE GO

Mission trips remind us that faith is not confined to church walls, it’s lived out in the world. Each trip is designed to help students:
Serve others with compassion and humility
Reflect on how God is at work through their actions
Build community with peers and leaders
Discover their gifts for ministry and justice

We go not to fix, but to listen. Not to change others, but to be changed by God’s presence in new places and people.
